Pull up a stool in the Neighborhood of the Arts
We're tucked inside the University Ave complex in NOTA — same lot as Radio Social. Here's exactly how to find the door, when to come, and what to bring.
Building 5, Suite 7 — here's the shortcut
1150 University Ave is a multi-building complex, so the street number alone won't get you to us. Three landmarks will.
Turn in at Radio Social
Coming down University Ave, the complex entrance is the same one you'd take for Radio Social. If you've been there, you already know the turn.
Park anywhere in the lot
The lot is shared across the complex and free for everyone. Head toward Building 5 — you'll pass Hot Shots Volleyball and The Culture Gym on the way.
Look for Suite 7
Our door is Suite 7 in Building 5. The lot connects directly to the entrance, and the whole path is step-free.
Parking, honestly
The lot is free and well lit, and it's shared with Radio Social, Hot Shots Volleyball and The Culture Gym. That's great most of the week — and it means Friday and Saturday nights fill up.
If the lot is full
There's additional street parking along University Ave and the surrounding NOTA streets. Or come earlier in the day — see the quiet hours below.
When we're open
- Monday – Saturday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
We're open every week of the year, including most holidays. Call (585) 402-9712 to confirm hours on a major holiday.
Want the bar to yourself?
Our budtenders will happily talk you through the whole menu — but that's easier when it's calm. If you're coming for a real conversation rather than a quick pickup, time it like this.
Three things to sort out first
Nothing complicated — but these are the three that send people back out to the car.
Your ID
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing you're 21 or older. Driver's licenses, passports and state ID cards from any U.S. state all work.
- Must be current — expired IDs can't be accepted
- Must be the physical card, not a photo of it
- No medical card needed
How you'll pay
We take debit cards and cash. If you'd rather not think about it, there's an ATM on site — but bringing your debit card is the simplest route.
How you want to shop
Two ways in, and you can switch mid-visit:
- Pull up a stool at the bar and talk it through with a budtender
- Use the kiosk if you know what you want and you're in a hurry
- Or order online and pick it up
We're a NOTA business, not just a NOTA address
The Neighborhood of the Arts is the part of Rochester where the galleries, the studios and the good weird stuff live. First Friday happens here. So does a lot of the city's live music.
We didn't land here by accident. The bar-style layout, the local art on our walls, the events we sponsor — all of it comes from being part of this particular neighborhood rather than a strip mall on the edge of town.
Make an afternoon of it. Most people who visit us are already coming to NOTA for something else.
Sharing our lot
All within the same University Ave complex — useful landmarks, and a decent reason to stick around.
- Radio Social Bowling, food & drinks
- Hot Shots Volleyball Indoor courts
- The Culture Gym Fitness
Come say hey
Browse the menu before you drive over, or just show up and let a budtender walk you through it. Both work.
